Greg Bohlen

Founder and CEO

Greg Bohlen is Co-founder and Managing General Partner of Union Grove Venture Partners [UGVP]. Throughout Greg’s 30 years in banking and venture capital, he has invested in over 60 venture-backed companies and successfully taken 24 companies public. UGVP was selected by the Dow Jones as the #1 global private fund-of funds for three years running. Greg returned to his farming roots in 2015 to start Union Grove Farm and follow his passion for sustainable agriculture, focusing on food as medicine. Greg is a published author, a volunteer fireman and on the board of the Orange Grove Fire Department. 

Tim Lindquist

Regenerative Vineyard Manager

With over 20 years of hands-on experience leading vineyards in Paso Robles, California, Tim brings deep expertise in crop management, sustainable farming, and innovative viticultural techniques. From increasing grape quality through precision pruning to implementing smart irrigation and building strong teams, he’s all about sustainably growing healthy, delicious grapes.

Patrick Kavanaugh

Director of Soil & Vine Health

Patrick Kavanaugh leads the Soil & Vine Health program at Union Grove Farm. He joined the vineyard after a 20-year career teaching science at Cedar Ridge High School and previously worked as a Propulsion Systems Engineer at Rockwell and Boeing on the Space Shuttle Main Propulsion System.


At Union Grove Farm, he oversees our comprehensive compost and vermicompost operations, continuously monitoring and assessing the health of both soil and vines. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Virginia, and a Science Teaching Certification from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Dane Jensen

Livestock Manager & Regenerative Lead

Dane Jensen has been working in agriculture for over a decade. Prior to joining Union Grove, he worked as a Regenerative Livestock Manager at Tablas Creek Vineyard, the first certified regenerative winery. Dane leads our integrated livestock program, building our new vineyard developments and focused on regenerative certification practices.

Collin Mallet

Assistant Regenerative Vineyard Manager

Collin grew up in Hillsborough, North Carolina, where he developed a deep appreciation for farming and the land. Since 2018, he spent his summers working at Union Grove, gaining hands-on experience and a true understanding of regenerative farming. After earning a degree in Sustainable Technology with a focus on sustainable agriculture from Appalachian State University in 2022, Collin joined Union Grove Farm full-time, where he combines his academic knowledge with his passion for regenerative farming.
