Representing the Regenerative Movement at the 2023 RegenOrganic Summit

Union Grove Farm was excited to be asked to participate and speak at the 2023 RegenOrganic Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona. This event brought together leaders and practitioners across regenerative farming to share knowledge, experience and ideas with the top minds in the regenerative agriculture movement, and we were honored to be included with many of the key players in the industry.

UGF’s Dr. Laura Kavanaugh spoke at the conference to a very receptive audience of influencers about our vineyard’s regen practices and how we are accelerating sustainable farming, including our plans for building a Center for Regenerative Agriculture here in Chapel Hill.

Martin Crompton, our UGF Vineyard & Projects Director, played a key role, leading the vineyard roundtable at the conference. The discussions focused on sharing best practices specifically for regenerative vineyards and orchards, including cover crops, biological weed and insect control, bio amendments and much more.

Regenerative agriculture is gaining traction and becoming ubiquitous across the entire food and agricultural market. It’s events like these where Union Grove Farm continues to demonstrate how we are leading the way for regenerative vineyards in our region and soon for the table grape industry.

Stay tuned, looking forward to Dr. Laura Kavanaugh presenting at next week’s 2023 Compost Conference in Ontario, California. More to come …
